Rylie Miller, a senior in architectural engineering, and Matthew Tierney, a senior in chemical engineering, attended the Tau Beta Pi national convention Oct. 30-Nov. 1 in Albuquerque. Miller and Tierney serve as president and vice president of the campus Tau Beta Pi chapter, respectively. Miller served as a voting delegate for the business sessions.
Tau Beta Pi advisor Steve Watkins, professor of electrical and computer engineering, also attended and was elected to the Executive Council, the society’s governing board of directors. He will serve a three-year term and will be the Executive Council secretary in 2026.
