Scheduled power outage moves to Monday, Dec. 22

The scheduled power outage originally planned for Tuesday, Dec. 23, has been rescheduled to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22. Facilities operations will conduct the outage to transfer campus power to the south substation.

The outage will begin at 5 p.m. Power to buildings will be interrupted sequentially, and no individual building is expected to be without power for more than one hour.

Buildings affected include:

  • Bertelsmeyer Hall
  • Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Building
  • Castleman Hall
  • Centennial Hall
  • Chancellor’s Residence
  • Curtis Laws Wilson Library
  • Engineering Management Building
  • Harris Hall
  • Havener Center
  • Humanities and Social Sciences Building
  • Interdisciplinary Engineering Building
  • Missouri S&T Nuclear Reactor
  • Norwood Hall
  • Parker Hall
  • Physics Building
  • Rolla Building
  • Schrenk Hall
  • Toomey Hall
  • Welcome Center.

Facilities staff will monitor the transition throughout the process to minimize disruption and ensure a safe restoration of service.
