The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is hosting a food drive to support the Friday Backpack program (Hope Alliance of Missouri), which provides kid-friendly food for Rolla Public Schools students who may not have consistent access to meals over weekends and breaks.

Collection begins at 4:30 p.m. on:
• Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025 – Miner men’s basketball, 6 p.m. tipoff
• Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025 – Miner women’s basketball, 5:30 p.m. tipoff

Location:
Gibson Arena, Gale Bullman Building, 705 W. 10th St.

Special note: A surprise gift will be provided for every two items donated.

Recommended items (nonperishable, individually packaged):
• Single-serve macaroni and cheese, canned pasta or ramen
• Canned soup or stew (pull-top preferred)
• Granola or cereal bars
• Individual oatmeal packets
• Single-serve cereal cups or boxes
• Applesauce cups or pouches
• Fruit cups (packed in juice preferred)
• Peanut butter or cheese cracker packs

Items should be within expiration date, in non-glass containers and easy for kids to prepare.
