Faculty milestones celebrated at General Faculty meeting

Missouri S&T honored faculty members for their years of service during the General Faculty meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 2. This new tradition recognizes the dedication and impact of faculty who have reached significant career milestones.

Dr. John Harris, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs, led the celebration, noting that these milestones represent decades of teaching, research, mentoring and service to the University of Missouri community.

The following faculty were recognized:

10 years of service

  • Dr. Aleksandr Chernatynskiy, associate professor of physics
  • Dr. Jessica Cundiff, associate professor of psychological science
  • Dr. Daniel Fischer, associate professor of physics
  • Dr. Katherine Grote, associate professor of earth sciences and engineering
  • Dr. Jillian Schmidt Ho, associate teaching professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering
  • Dr. Sheryl Hodges, associate teaching professor of engineering management and systems engineering
  • Dr. Jie Huang, Roy A. Wilkens Telecommunications Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Dr. Chulsoon Hwang, Woodard Associate Professor for Excellence in Electrical and Computer Engineering
