Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply for Team Innovation Project openings sponsored by Apex Systems. Students from computer science, engineering, engineering management, systems engineering, business or related fields who are eager to tackle a high-value, interdisciplinary problem are encouraged to apply.
Spring 2026 Project Focus
- Evaluate existing framework-modernization tools and assess their performance.
- Conduct market research to determine the size of the addressable market.
Fall 2026 Project Focus
- Build a proof-of-concept solution demonstrating how AI and machine learning can accelerate the framework-modernization process, including how COBOL can be safely and efficiently translated to modern programming languages for large-scale, critical systems.
- Develop final documentation and a technical report to present to the company.
