Associate and full professors, tenured or non-tenure track, who are committed to improving faculty mentoring at S&T are invited to apply for the Advancing and Improving Mentoring (AIM) Program. This team is a cohort of faculty who will develop and facilitate training sessions to help faculty become more effective mentors for junior faculty, postdocs and graduate students.

You don’t need to be a mentoring expert to join the AIM Team. The team will work with the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER), a national leader in mentor training, to develop and deliver mentor training at S&T.

Compensation includes:

  • $1,500 startup stipend in spring 2026
  • $1,500 annual stipend thereafter (subject to renewal)
  • Fully funded attendance at CIMER’s virtual “Entering Mentoring Facilitator Training” in January 2026.

Applications are due Friday, Nov. 21. For more details about the program and to apply, visit the Advancing and Improving Mentorship Program website.
