Bai receives SPE Production and Operations Award

Dr. Baojun Bai, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of petroleum engineering, received the 2025 Society of Petroleum Engineers Production and Operations Award at the society’s annual conference in October in Houston. Bai is recognized for developing particle gel conformance control technology, implemented in more than 15,000 wells worldwide. He is also an expert in hydraulic fracturing, carbon storage and geothermal energy.
