ACM Security Team places third at UMKC capture the flag event

The Missouri S&T Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Security Team earned third place in the collegiate bracket at the UMKC CANSec Cybersecurity Conference’s Capture the Flag competition, held Oct. 24–25, in Kansas City, Missouri.
The team of students studying computer science was led by vice chair and captain Cooper Davis and included Donald Filbeck, Evan Richard and Matthew Wasser. Competitors faced challenges in reverse engineering, digital forensics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cryptography, and more.
