Dr. Larry Gragg, university historian and a Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor emeritus of history and political science, will speak as part of the exhibition on the desegregation of higher education in Missouri at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, on the second floor of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library.
His talk, titled “Desegregation to Integration at the Missouri School of Mines and the University of Missouri, 1950-1963,” will focus on the slow process of moving from desegregating the School of Mines and the University of Missouri in 1950 to the integration of Black students into the culture of both institutions.
The event is free and open to the public. The talk will also be streamed on Zoom (register online) and Facebook Live.
