U.S. News ranks Missouri S&T as the state’s top public engineering school

U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 rankings for public engineering programs were released Tuesday, Sept. 23, and Missouri S&T remains the top school in the state and among the nation’s best. 

Missouri S&T remains a top 50 public engineering school, coming in at No. 42. This ranking is for undergraduate engineering programs at schools that offer degrees up to the doctoral level.  

The university also tied as the No. 2 public school in the nation for a metric focused on alumni salaries.
