Beginning in fall 2026, Top Hat will become the official S&T student-engagement platform, replacing Point Solutions (clickers). The platform will be available at no cost to instructors and students – no license purchase is required.
To prepare for the transition, the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) is launching a Top Hat pilot program in spring 2026. Faculty interested in participating should email Beth Reardon, instructional technologist at CAFE.
Top Hat supports active learning inside and outside the classroom. Students use their own devices to participate in discussions, quizzes and polls in real time.
Instructors are invited to join Top Hat experts for an overview of the courseware and student engagement tools Tuesday, Nov. 4, and Wednesday, Nov. 5, in Room G11 Curtis Laws Wilson Library.
Here is what to expect:
Tuesday, Nov. 4
Wednesday, Nov. 5
