Search committee for grad school dean announced, nominations sought

The following individuals are serving on a search committee for the founding dean of Missouri S&T’s graduate school and vice provost of graduate and postdoctoral studies.

Chair:

  • Dr. Mehdi Ferdowsi, Schlumberger Foundation Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and associate dean for research in the College of Engineering and Computing.

Committee members:

  • Iheanyichukwu Ajoku, president of the Council of Graduate Students
  • Dr. David Enke, associate dean of the Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development
  • Jodi Hasekamp, director for graduate and international admissions
  • Dr. Lijun Jiang, Kummer Endowed Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering and president of the Council of Graduate Faculty
  • Dr. Kamal Khayat, vice chancellor for research and innovation
  • Sharon Matson, director of operations for graduate education
  • Angelica Nuno, senior assistant director of business administration for fiscal services
  • Dr. Monday Okoronkwo, associate professor of chemical and biochemical engineering
  • Dr. Thomas Vojta, Curators’ Distinguished Professor and chair of physics.

Secretary:

  • Emily Dilly, executive assistant for the provost.

Search consultant:

  • Carrie Arrowsmith, lead recruitment consultant.
