Lonergan receives ACS’s young professional award

Dr. Charmayne Lonergan, an assistant professor of materials science and engineering, has been selected for the American Ceramic Society’s 2025 Du-Co Ceramics Young Professional Award.
The Du-Co Ceramics Young Professional Award was established in honor of Reldon Cooper, a co-founder of Du-Co Ceramics. It recognizes a young professional member of the American Ceramics Society who demonstrates leadership and service to the society. The recognition includes a $1,500 honorarium, a certificate of recognition and lifetime membership in the society.
