Katharine Keune, a longtime communications leader at The Ohio State University, has been named vice chancellor for communications, outreach and engagement at Missouri S&T. Her appointment will begin Monday, Oct. 27.

“I am delighted to welcome Katharine to the Miner community,” says Chancellor Mo Dehghani. “Her leadership will be instrumental as we continue to elevate Missouri S&T’s visibility, expand our impact in STEM education and outreach, strengthen our partnerships and share the extraordinary story of transformation taking place at our great university.”

The role is a new position at S&T, merging and unifying teams across marketing and communications, engagement and outreach and the Kummer Center for STEM Education.

Keune will report to Dehghani and serve on S&T’s leadership team. She will be responsible for guiding the university’s communications and engagement strategy, facilitating partnerships, and enhancing the university’s presence and reputation both regionally and globally.
