UM academic technology invites faculty to “Teaching with Tech: Explore, Engage, Elevate,” a hands-on event showcasing six tools that support teaching and learning noon-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in The Collaboratory, located in Rooms G1-G4 of the Humanities and Social Sciences Building.

Experts from UM Academic Technology, the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence and Online Learning and Education Innovation will be available to discuss:

• Ally – accessibility checker in Canvas
• Gradescope – grading platform with rubrics and horizontal grading
• Honorlock – online proctoring for test security
• Hypothes.is – collaborative annotation tool
• MathPix – STEM document creation
• VoiceThread – multimedia collaboration in Canvas.

Attendees can visit one or all tables, ask questions and get personalized guidance. Snacks, swag and prize drawings will be available. Pizza and salad will be served.
