What is happening?
Software updates will be applied to campus devices over the weekend of Friday, Sept. 26, to ensure systems remain secure and updated.
Why?
Regular updates help maintain device performance, security and compatibility with campus tools. Applying them during off-hours minimizes disruption to your work.
When?
Updates will begin Friday evening and continue through the weekend. If your computer is online, updates will be installed automatically. If your computer is offline, the updates will be installed when it is powered on and require a reboot.
What actions are required?
- Leave your computer powered on and connected to the network over the weekend.
- If your computer is offline, expect a reboot when you turn it on.
- Save your work and close any open programs before the weekend. Your device will reboot during the updates.
