The Kummer Institute, in partnership with online learning and educational innovation, invites proposals for the Ignition Grants for Sustainable Educational Transformation (IGSET) internal grants program. These grants provide up to $80,000 per project, with a total of $205,000 available, to support the development of asynchronous online course templates that will expand Missouri S&T’s reach and provide flexible, high-quality academic opportunities for working professionals, adult learners and international students.

Proposals should outline complete academic programs or high-demand courses that can launch in fall 2026 or spring 2027. Successful applicants will collaborate with instructional designers to create engaging, scalable digital learning experiences that align with Missouri S&T’s strategic goals for enrollment and program growth.

Key dates:

  • Priority submission deadline: Monday, Sept. 29
  • Review period begins: Wednesday, Oct. 1, and continues until all funds are awarded
  • Funding must be spent by: Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Please direct all submissions and inquiries to Dr. Debra Bourdeau, vice provost of online learning and educational innovation.
