Lightshot screen capture app blocked due to cybersecurity vulnerability

The application Lightshot automatically uploads screenshots to a webpage, and anyone with a link can gain access to the screenshots. Additionally, by changing the last few characters of the link, you can easily gain access to someone else’s screenshots.
Who is affected?
All users with campus-managed Windows or MacOS computers.
When is this happening?
Starting Tuesday, Aug. 5, S&T IT will block this application on Windows or MacOS managed computers. Additionally, the Lightshot application will be removed from AppsAnywhere.
What do I use now?
S&T IT recommends using the Snipping Tool application on Windows managed computers or the Screenshot application on MacOS managed computers.
