Can you share your professional background?
I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in broadcast journalism from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. I worked as a news reporter for four years at Xuzhou TV’s news channel and later spent three years in the marketing department at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
What do you most enjoy about working at Missouri S&T?
I enjoy working on campus because I’m surrounded by some of the most brilliant scholars and energetic young minds. It’s meaningful to know that my work, even behind the scenes, supports education and research that can change lives. I feel proud to be part of something bigger than myself.
What advice would you have for a struggling student?
You’re not alone — everyone struggles at some point. It’s a natural part of both learning and life. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your professors, advisors or classmates. There are always people and resources here ready to support you.
What is something people may be surprised to learn about you?
English is my second language. I’m actually much more talkative when I speak Mandarin!
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
If I could have any superpower, I would choose a photographic memory. Being able to remember everything I read or see would make learning so much easier and more efficient — and I’d never forget anything important!
