Seven S&T students were chosen to receive travel grants from the National Science Foundation.
Sanfan Liu, a computer engineering Ph.D. student from Saint Charles, Missouri, received a grant for the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) International Conference on Smart Computing, which will take place June 16-19 in Cork, Ireland. The conference is hosted by University College Cork and Munster Technological University, and is sponsored by Missouri S&T.
Six students were selected to attend the 2025 S-STEM Scholars Meeting in San Diego this October. A thousand students from across the United States are selected each year to attend the meeting, which features speakers, workshops and networking opportunities for STEM students. Their travel will be funded by the NSF and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The students are:
⦁ Jacob Byers of New Boston, Missouri, who recently earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering
⦁ Natasha Cox of St. Louis, who recently earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering
⦁ Sydney Clark of Arnold, Missouri, a senior in computer engineering
⦁ Peyton Odum of Marion, Illinois, a senior in computer engineering from Marion, Illinois
⦁ Joseph Stecher of Chesterfield, Missouri, a senior in electrical engineering
⦁ Aadhi Sathishkumar of Saint Charles, Missouri, a junior in computer engineering and electrical engineering.
