The internal competition for the National Science Foundation’s Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Program is now open.

Missouri S&T may submit up to four proposals to the NSF across the following tracks:

• Track 1: One to two proposals requesting $100,000 to less than $1.4 million
• Track 2: One proposal requesting $1.4 million to $4 million
• Track 3: One proposal requesting $100,000 to $4 million for equipment supporting helium conservation or reduced consumption.

Note: This schedule assumes no significant changes from NSF prior to the annual competition window (Oct. 15-Nov. 14).

The internal deadline to submit a pre-proposal is 8 a.m. Monday, July 14. The sponsor deadline is Thursday, Nov. 14.

Interested applicants must submit a pre-proposal by the internal deadline to be considered for institutional nomination.
