Skylar Rea is a research engineering technician for mechanical and aerospace engineering. He has worked at S&T for six years.
Can you share your professional background?
I am a graduate of State Technical College of Missouri. My professional experience has been in some facet of the manufacturing industry where my primary roles have been as a welder or machinist.
What do you most enjoy about working at Missouri S&T?
The people I am privileged to work with and the problems we work to solve through our outstanding research.
What advice would you have for a struggling student?
Don’t hesitate to ask for help of any kind! S&T is filled with some of the finest people you will meet, and everyone is overwhelmingly willing to help if you ask.
What is something people may be surprised to learn about you?
My true passion is agriculture.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
The ability to match and pair an entire basket of socks with the snap of my fingers. Gone would be the days of searching for a matching pair of socks.
