Police remind campus community to use crosswalks

Local police departments remind the campus community to use the many crosswalks surrounding campus and to cross only when traffic signals indicate it is safe to do so. At intersections with lighted crossing signs, individuals should press the activation button before crossing to alert approaching vehicles.
Pedestrians are reminded to yield the right of way to vehicles when crossing at locations without crosswalks. The community is also encouraged to avoid distractions, remain alert and stay safe while crossing streets.
