To be as Earth-friendly as possible toner cartridges should be recycled. Instructions are in IT-Answers. The library and IT Help Desk will no longer collect used cartridges.

Who is impacted?

Departments and offices on campus with printers that use toner cartridges.

Why is this changing?

Due to storage issues and staff availability, the library and Help Desk will no longer collect used toner cartridges.

What is changing?

Departments and offices should recycle their own used toner cartridges Do not deliver them to the library or Help Desk.

If your printer is a Marco printer, the used toner must be returned to Marco. Learn more about recycling toner cartridges for Marco printers.

For all other printers, the toner cartridge can be taken to the Rolla Recycling Center, located at 2141 Old St. James Road, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is no bin outside for e-waste, you will need to go to the office, and they will show you where to place the used cartridges.

When is it changing?

This change takes effect Thursday, May 1.
