What is your role at S&T? 
I work in human resources as an employee development coordinator. It’s a trick question to ask me how long I’ve been a part of S&T. I was a student for five years, came back after a while for five years, left for a few years, and came back about 4.5 years ago.

What inspired you to join Staff Council? 
I wanted to get more involved on campus. 

What is your role on Staff Council, and what responsibilities does it involve? 
I’m currently on the Advocacy Committee. On that committee, we work on advocating for the staff. We are in charge of the staff scholarships and also the staff awards. 

What advice would you give someone just starting at S&T? 
Check out the New Employee Channel on Percipio. Your first few weeks at S&T can be overwhelming with everything to learn. The sessions in Percipio are designed to help you adjust to the pace of S&T. If you don’t know how to access Percipio, just ask me.

What’s one thing you absolutely must have at your desk and why? 
A little whiteboard. We got these a few years ago and they’re used for quick messages to yourself. They’re more environmentally friendly than Post-it Notes. 

What’s something about you that most people don’t know — whether it’s unique, unexpected or just a little quirky? 
I LOVE dinosaurs! I’m obsessed. I have many different items of art around my house that are dinosaur related.
