ISC Graduate Research Symposium set for April 14

Missouri S&T’s Intelligent Systems Center (ISC) will host the 19th annual Graduate Research Symposium 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, April 14, in the Innovation Lab Forum. Dr. Simone Silvestri, associate professor and director of graduate studies at the University of Kentucky, will deliver a keynote presentation, titled “Climbing the Doctoral Mountain: Essential Strategies for a Successful Ph.D.”

All campus community members are invited. The event features presentations on research funded with seed money from the ISC. Graduate students present research in the center’s five following areas:

  • Intelligent manufacturing processes, equipment and systems
  • Cyber physical and smart living systems
  • Advanced simulation, sensing, control and communications
  • Computational intelligence and embedded systems
  • Cybersecurity and trustworthiness.
