Celebrate Stephanie Fitch’s retirement May 12

You’re invited to celebrate the retirement of Stephanie Fitch, teaching professor of mathematics and statistics, at a drop-in reception 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, May 12, in the John O. Farmer Alumni Lounge of Hasselmann Alumni House. Fitch will retire after 28 years of service at Missouri S&T.
Fitch joined the university in 1997 as a faculty member in mathematics and statistics. From 1999 to 2001, she held a joint appointment with management systems. She was the first official faculty member of the business and information technology department when it formed in 2001. In 2010, she returned full time to mathematics and statistics. During her tenure, Fitch led the transition from paper to electronic course evaluations and founded the Fast Track program to advance incoming students in mathematics. Fitch has received multiple awards and honors throughout her career.
