S&T researcher wins best paper awards at DesignCon 2025

Hanyu Zhang, a doctoral student in electrical engineering, received both Best Paper Award and the 2025 Early-Career Best Paper Award at DesignCon 2025. The paper is titled “A Parameter Extraction Method for Multi-Phase Buck Converters Based on Nonlinear Least Square Method.” Co-authors include Junhu Joo, a 2024 Ph.D. graduate in electrical engineering, Wenchang Huang, a doctoral student in electrical engineering, Chulsoon Hwang, the Woodard Associate Professor of Excellence in electrical and computer engineering. Researchers from Google also contributed to the publication including Hanfeng Wang, Wei Shen, Zhigang Liang, Lihui Cao and Seungtaek Jeong.
