Researchers present at NSF’s Computation Symposium

Dr. Weibing Gong, assistant professor of earth sciences and engineering, and Boneng Chen, a doctoral student studying geological engineering, attended the National Science Foundation’s 2025 Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI) Computational Symposium and delivered a presentation titled “A Framework for Forecasting and Runout Estimation of Regional Co-Seismic Landslides.” The symposium was held at the University of California, Los Angeles.
