Can you share your professional background?
I am a graduate of Missouri S&T — shoutout to the psychology department! After graduating, I started work as a college adviser with the Missouri College Advising Corp. I served for three years at my alma mater, St. James High School, while completing my master’s degree through Mizzou online.
What do you most enjoy about working at Missouri S&T?
The people. The diversity from students, staff and faculty allows me to connect with so many amazing people and learn about different perspectives and experiences.
What advice would you have for a struggling student?
Reach out! I know it is not always as easy as it sounds, but there are so many incredible resources and people available who love to help students. We just have to know what’s going on.
What is something people may be surprised to learn about you?
Hmmm, I’m not sure that I’m very mysterious. I’m pretty much an open book. I do love to travel, but I’ll talk about that with anyone. I’ve been to 14 countries so far — mostly in Europe, so I’d love to venture to other parts of the world soon.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Teleportation! I would save so much time and money on my travels.
