Myers named Educator of the Year by national concrete institute

Dr. John J. Myers, a professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, was named the 2025 Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) Educator of the Year during the organization’s annual convention in early February in Indianapolis. 

The PCI website notes the award goes to “an educator who has made a singular yet truly exceptional contribution to education or a contribution to the educational mission of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute.” Myers has been involved with PCI since he was a graduate student in 1987, and he has served on several of the institution’s committees.
