The Bolivia Engineers Without Borders team on one of their previous trips.
A group from the Missouri S&T Engineers Without Borders design team has received approval to travel in late May to a community of 200 in Urkupiña, Bolivia. Currently, the community relies on purchasing unsanitary, bottled water from a nearby city as their main source of clean water. Students will drill a well and design a water distribution system for the community, providing easy access to fresh, clean water.
The group has launched a Crowdfunding page and seeks supporters. Contributions will allow the team to travel, have access to accommodations while in-country, and develop relationships with the community members of Urkupiña.
