The Woman of the Year and winner of the Dr. Elizabeth Cummins Women’s Advocate Award will be announced at the Woman of the Year award ceremony and luncheon 12-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Hasselmann Alumni House.
You are invited to come congratulate the honorees, mingle with campus colleagues and previous award recipients, and enjoy a complimentary light lunch after the ceremony.
The Woman of the Year Award recognizes a female, full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty member who is dedicated to student education, committed to diversity, and serves as a valuable role model for female students at Missouri S&T. The Dr. Elizabeth Cummins Women’s Advocate Award honors an S&T employee, regardless of gender or job title, who demonstrates major contributions toward fostering the inclusion, development and advancement of women on campus through mentorship and advocacy. The award’s namesake, the late Dr. Elizabeth Cummins, was the first woman to chair a department at S&T.
