Mina is the new technical editor in the Writing and Communications Center. Mina received her Ph.D. in education with a focus on curriculum studies. She has published some scholarly articles in accredited journals, primarily on self-directed learning and teachers’ productive feedback practices, and has also authored two books. Additionally, she has taught English as a foreign language for five years and is currently working as a technical editor at Missouri S&T, a role she has held for approximately two years. She has recently transitioned from the graduate education department to the Writing and Communication Center, where she assisted graduate students with the editing of their dissertations, theses, articles and manuscripts.

Mina, along with her husband Fardis, an assistant research professor of the mining and explosives engineering, immigrated to the U.S. in April 2023. They now have a 17-month-old daughter. She looks forward to serving the faculty, staff and graduate students of Missouri S&T.
