The Rolla Bee Club will hold a beginner beekeeping class on Monday nights in March. The classes will cover basic bee biology and what beginning beekeepers need to get started keeping honeybees.
The class will meet 6-8 p.m. March 3, March 10 and March 17 at 1341 California Drive in Rolla.
Cost is $100 per student or $180 for a couple. The class qualifies for the Great Plains Master Beekeeping apprentice level. Students must attend all three sessions to get class credit.
The Rolla Bee Club is a 501(c)3 educational non-profit providing beekeepers classes, training and opportunities to meet other beekeepers. During beekeeping season, the Rolla Bee Club also offers two-hour hands-on sessions at a nearby teaching apiary.
