Calls for proposals and registration are now open for the student research conference – Miners Solving for Tomorrow – on April 2, 3 and 4 2025. The two-and-a-half-day conference is the first combined undergraduate and graduate conference at S&T.
April 2: Highlight undergraduate research presentations and posters, with keynote speaker Katelyn Cooper, PhD Assistant Professor in the School of Life Sciences from Arizona State University. Dr. Cooper directs the Mental Health Division of the Research for Inclusive STEM Education Center.
April 3: Dr. Richard Dawes, NSF Program Director for the Directorate for Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MPS), Division of Chemistry (CHE), of the Chemical Theory, Models and Computational Methods Program will be the keynote speaker.
April 4: Short program led by Dr. Kamal Khayat, Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation. Award prizes recognizing the best presentations, best posters and people’s choice categories for both undergraduates and graduates.
Abstracts and biographies will be published for the conference and student works will be available in Scholar’s Mine following the conference.
