The chemistry department will host Dr. Mary K. Carroll, the Dwane W. Crichton Professor of Chemistry at Union College in Schenectady, New York, and past president of the American Chemical Society, for a talk titled “From Spectroscopy to Aerogels: A Professional Journey” at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in Room 126 Schrenk Hall.
