Dr. Mehdi Ferdowsi, a professor of electrical engineering, has been named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
The IEEE Fellow Committee noted that Ferdowsi was selected due to his contributions to both high-gain converters for renewable energy applications and battery management systems.
IEEE has over 460,000 members around the globe and is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology. Less than 0.1% of its voting members are selected annually as Fellows.
