What does a student support specialist do? I help students with academic, personal, and administrative challenges, offering guidance and resources to support their success.
What do you enjoy most about your work? I really enjoy the people I work with—both my colleagues and the students I interact with. The atmosphere here is great, and I love being part of such a wonderful team. Most of all, I truly enjoy helping students.
What is one thing on your bucket list? To see the northern lights in Iceland or Norway.
What do you do for fun? – For fun, I enjoy playing golf, and working on repainting and refurnishing furniture, but sometimes, relaxing at home is the most enjoyable.
What is something that others may not know about you? I have a hidden talent for cooking Korean food and experimenting with new recipes.
What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus is the Starbucks in the Innovation Lab.
What would you describe as the most important personal attributes or strengths that you bring to your work? I would say my most important strengths are strong communication and problem-solving skills. I’m also highly organized and adaptable, which helps me manage tasks efficiently and support students in different situations.
What is the best advice you have ever received? – The best advice I’ve ever received is to “believe in your potential and never underestimate what you’re capable of achieving.”
