Chua awarded the Stafford Beer Medal

Dr. Cecil Chua, associate professor of business and information technology, received the Operational Research Society’s Stafford Beer Medal 2024 for the best paper published in the European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS) during 2023 for his paper titled “Rethinking Time: Ubichronic Time and Its Impact on Work.”
The Stafford Beer Medal is awarded in recognition of the most outstanding contribution to the philosophy, theory or practice of Information Systems published in the EJIS. The award is named in memory of Stafford Beer, a world leader in the development of systems ideas, especially management cybernetics, and president of the Operational Research Society 1970-71.
