Five Missouri S&T students recently presented their research at the annual Missouri Valley Economic Association conference, held Oct. 24-26.
The S&T student presentations addressed timely topics that intersect energy, economics, sustainability and technology.
- Bruktawit M. Ahmed, a master’s student in industrial-organizational psychology, presented “Consumer Preferences for Net Zero Carbon Electricity Products: Evidence from a U.S.-Based Choice Experiment.”
- Bamidele Ajiga, a master’s student in mining engineering, presented “Social Acceptance of Battery Critical Minerals in the United States – A Discrete Choice Experiment.”
- Love Gami, a junior in information science and technology, presented “Pricing Pass-Through to Electricity Prices under Partial Regulations.”
- Sreeja Koppera, a master’s student in information science and technology, presented “Public Perceptions of Mineral Criticality and Preferences for Energy Transition Strategies in the U.S.”
- Nhien Nguyen, a senior in chemical engineering, presented “Factors Shaping Public Support for Expanded Carbon Capture and Storage Projects in the United States.”
