This annual report, led by Future Earth, The Earth League and the World Climate Research Program, provides key, research-driven insights to guide discussions and decisions at the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference. The findings reflect the most urgent scientific advancements and areas requiring action to effectively address climate change .
Fikru co-authored Insight 9, which highlights the importance of addressing governance gaps in the global value chain for energy transition minerals. Her contribution highlights the need for equitable policies in resource extraction and processing to achieve a just and sustainable energy transition.
