Staff Council raised $162 with its second annual chili cook-off competition during the fall Staff Appreciation Day on Thursday, Oct. 31.
Congratulations to Jackie Sansone, assistant director of business administration for fiscal services, who won the traditional chili category. Simone Waldon, manager of the Staff Success Center, won the non-traditional category for the second year in a row.
This year’s costume contest featured 30 entries with 80 total participants. The winners received 3D-printed trophies.
The winners for each category are:
Individual: Cyndi Kinder, business support specialist for the Kummer STEM Education Center, as a Ms. Frizzle from The Magic School Bus.
Group: Scooby-Doo and the gang, featuring:
Waleed Addas, a sophomore studying aerospace engineering and events assistant for the Kummer Center for STEM Education
Sarah Baggett, program project specialist for the Kummer Center for STEM Education
Rose Blagg, a junior in environmental engineering and student employee administrator for the Kummer Center for STEM Education
Valenda Curtis, program project specialist for the Kummer Center for STEM Education
Roxanne Hanna, associate director for the Kummer Center for STEM Education
Sarah Sullivan, educational program associate for the Kummer Center for STEM Education.
