Panel to discuss mental health, suicide prevention

S&T will host a panel discussion titled “Building HOPE Through Action: A Discussion of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention,” 3-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the Innovation Lab Forum.

The panel will address mental health, wellness and suicide prevention. Panelists include Dr. Joel Burken, Curators’ Distinguished Professor and Mathes Endowed Chair of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, S&T Police Chief Doug Roberts, Robert Schiffer of Black & Veatch, and Brandon Anderson of the Associated General Contractors of Missouri. Jessica Gargus, director of student well-being, will moderate.

A question-and-answer session will follow. Refreshments will be provided.
