Students in civil, architectural and environmental engineering are running a supply drive to assist hurricane survivors in North Carolina, with donations being accepted through Oct. 23. Essential items such as new or gently used winter clothes, boots, heaters, socks, gloves, blankets and non-perishable food are among the most requested. Baby formula, dehumidifiers, diapers and first aid kits are also needed. See a list of highly requested items.
Please drop donations off outside Room 122 of Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. For more information, contact Rachel Deason, a senior in civil engineering, at rhdc6f@umsystem.edu, or Dr. Joel Burken, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of civil engineering and Mathes Chair of Environmental Engineering, at 314-440-2363. Every contribution helps support those affected by the disaster.
