Next weekend marks the third anniversary of Family and Friends Weekend at Missouri S&T Sept. 20-22. In addition to Celebration of Nations, the weekend offers a variety of family-friendly opportunities for those visiting our students to explore.

The weekend kicks off on Friday, Sept. 20, with tours of the Student Design and Experiential Learning Center, a men’s soccer game, an open house at the Student Success Center and the Equinox Fall Festival. Guests can also choose to participate in Glamour and Gatsby, a live band event hosted by the S&T Aerial Swing Dance Club and the Student Union Board.

On Saturday morning, Student Success will host a resource fair and welcome breakfast at the Havener Center, before the Celebration of Nations Parade and Festival, which begins at 11 a.m. That evening, students and their guests can tailgate before the S&T football game and then cheer on the Miners against Quincy University. Another evening option, “Mo’ Funny, Less Problems” featuring the Second City Touring Co. will be held at Leach Theatre for those who prefer an evening of laughter.

Family and Friends Weekend will wrap up Sunday morning with brunch at the Social House at T.J. Hall, where guests can chat with Student Success leadership.
