To improve S&T’s infrastructure, the facility, planning and operations division will soon perform electrical system and geothermal maintenance. Both outages are planned during fall break to limit the disturbance to campus.

Short outages are scheduled for 6:30 a.m.-noon Thursday, Oct. 10. This will result in several 5- to 10-minute power outages for the buildings listed at the bottom of this notice. Your building coordinator will be notified in advance of the building’s outage, but be aware that the need to switch power off and back on could occur at any time during this timeframe.

The south geothermal heating loop will undergo maintenance Oct. 9-11. The following buildings should expect cooler indoor temperatures during the heating outage: Castleman Hall, Centennial Hall, Schrenk Hall and the Rolla Building. Occupants are encouraged to bring warmer clothing to work in anticipation of the cooler temperatures.

If you have questions or concerns, email Bradley Clay, senior assistant director of construction services.
