The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence is conducting its first, S&T faculty-redesigned, Online Teaching Recertification Seminar (OTRS) beginning Monday, Sept. 23. To be eligible to attend, your current certification through Missouri Online must be expiring soon, or you must have taught online for the past five years.
The OTRS refresher course supports the requirement that recertification occur every five years, It is estimated to take 6-10 hours over a three-week period between Monday, Sept. 23, and Sunday, Oct. 13.

If you don’t meet the recertification seminar criteria, but youteach an online course, you can register for the Online Teaching Certification Seminar (OTCS). Redesigned by S&T faculty, this seminar starts Monday, Oct. 7, and ends Sunday, Nov. 24. The OTCS is designed to familiarize instructors with the information needed to deliver quality online learning experiences. The seminar supports the University of Missouri System requirement that instructors teaching online courses be certified before teaching online. Over the six-week experience, the estimated time commitment is approximately 13-18 hours. To enroll, click on Canvas Catalog and then select the appropriate seminar.
