Stay safe with the RAVE Guardian app

The campus community is encouraged to enhance their personal safety by downloading the RAVE Guardian Security and Safety app, available for free on all major app stores. This app provides pre-loaded campus phone numbers, a campus map and a direct texting mechanism to reach the University Police. Users can also make one-touch calls to 911 or the University Police, ensuring quick access to emergency services.
Users can now text 911 in emergencies. Calling 911 remains the preferred method for immediate assistance, but texting is a viable option when speaking is not possible or safe. This service is beneficial for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or in situations where making a voice call could be dangerous.
