Greetings! I am thrilled to have the privilege of working with the Division for Student Success. With a deep commitment to enhancing the academic and personal growth of our students, I am excited to embark on this journey with you.

Robin A. Gore, Ed.D.

A bit about myself—I come to this role with a background largely in student affairs areas but have aided in academic success for students and served as adjunct faculty for many years. My passion for fostering student success and my experience in developing strategic initiatives have shaped my approach to supporting our students’ academic journeys. I am dedicated to creating an environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.

A few fun facts: I’m one of 7 kids. I grew up on a small dairy farm in Wisconsin. My husband is Craig and my kids are Emma (28), Cole (26), Aaron (20) and Seth (18). I enjoy gardening (both vegetables and flowers), walking/hiking, generally being outside/in nature, and traveling any chance I get! My most recent international trips have been Cozumel, Scotland, Kenya, and Israel.

As we move forward, I want to share with you some key initiatives that we will be focusing on within the Division of Student Success:

  • Establishing a Retention Taskforce: This new team will be instrumental in reporting and tracking data related to High Impact Practices.
  • Establishing a Unified Approach to Academic Advising: We will be working to create a cohesive and effective advising model that supports our students’ academic progress.
  • Enhancing the Student Care Team (UCARE): We will build upon the existing UCARE model by incorporating a more holistic approach. This includes adding academic components to our case management for high-risk or high-concern students, ensuring that their academic and personal needs are addressed comprehensively.

You will hear more about these initiatives at our first All-Staff Meeting for the division on September 12 from 3-4PM in the Innovation Lab Forum. I am enthusiastic about the opportunities that lie ahead and confident that, together, we can make a significant impact on our students’ success. I look forward to collaborating with each of you and harnessing our collective expertise to support and uplift our student community.

Thank you for your warm welcome and support. Here’s to a successful journey ahead!
